Volubill is looking for a Level 2 Support Engineer to participate in supporting our customers by providing timely and effective solutions to support tickets reported against Volubill's suite of products.
Supporting and servicing our customers
As Support Level 2 you will provide technical and maintenance support to our customers and participate in supporting the integration of our solution in the customer network. You will take full ownership of support requests and apply troubleshooting and analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
This includes liaising closely and collaboratively with the customer (internal or external) to facilitate timely resolution according to prescribed service level agreements. The Level 2 Supporter will be expected to share solutions with team mates to build on the collective knowledge of the team and increase responsiveness.
This position is based in Atlanta, U.S.A. and may require on-site visits to customer sites, and a flexible working approach
Strong communicator with a good skill set
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar. You are fluent in English and have experience with some of the following areas:
- Supporting a UNIX environment skills (includes basic scripting skill i.e. PERL, AWK, SHELL)
- Oracle (includes installation, configuration, SQL, PL/SQL, DBA)
- Other programming (C, C++, Java, abstract data-layers)
- Network environment and mobile market (applications, protocols, components, strategies)
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills is absolutely essential for this role. You have excellent communication skills, and are focused on results and customer satisfaction. Being a strong team player with a can-do attitude that always put quality in your own work is a definite plus. You will be expected to join the pager support team once you have been trained and authorised to do so.
