Overview
Volubill Network System (VNS) Core Controller is a router-based network system that provides real-time dynamic traffic inspection and session control in a single solution. Core Controller supports multi-Gigabit networks and tier-1 subscriber volumes with the following capabilities:
It handles customer usage of any data service including Broadband, Mobile-Internet, MMS, P2P, Voice over IP (VoIP), On-Demand Service, Streaming, Download and Messaging, and enables carriers to introduce the following business models and functionalities:

- Deep and Shallow Packet Inspection (DPI): Genuine layer-7 classification with traffic identification based on heuristic and 7-tuple analysis; can track protocols such as P2P, HTTP, Skype with associated levels of usage, multiple connections, bandwidth intensity and encryption.
- Service Control: Terminating, blocking, filtering and authorising
- Bandwidth Management: Shaping, allocating and throttling
- Prioritisation: By service, subscriber or application (Layer 7)
- Quality of Service: Allocation based on class, subscriber or application
