VoluBill’s WiMAX solution uniquely provides integrated AAA, usage policy management and revenue management. Specifically, the solution addresses the following critical requirements:
  • Intelligent AAA (Authentication, Authorisation and Accounting). AAA is responsible for validating subscriber identities, authorising access to services and providing a key source of charging information. In order to work effectively in a WiMAX environment, the AAA server has to interface and exchange information in real-time with other components such as policy management or the subscriber database.
  • Intelligent Usage Policy Management.  WiMAX operators must manage network utilisation and bandwidth on a per subscriber and service level in order to prevent the network from getting swamped by bandwidth hungry applications. VoluBill’s solution proactively implements and manages subscriber and service centric usage policies and provides an intuitive user dialogue that ensures a positive service experience at all times.
  • Revenue Management. VoluBill’s solution enables operators to offer pre and post paid charging models for WiMAX services. VoluBill’s solution provides a flexible, convergent charging platform that also supports all revenue management functions including voucher management, real-time rating, balance management, billing, customer care and self care.
