Overview
Volubill’s CONTROL-IT Policy Manager is a comprehensive policy server specifically designed to help mobile service providers intelligently and proactively manage their packet data network. This includes containing capital and operational expenditure associated with growing demand of mobile data services.
It is fully compliant with 3GPP Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) Release 7 and 8 standards, and uniquely extends policy management with automated customer dialogue for up-sell, bill shock and advice of service control.
3GPP PCRF is a standard, designed for both 3G and 4G/LTE Evolved Packet Core networks, to control the interaction of user, user groups and applications with the network, so that specific targets in end-to-end service quality, subscriber experience and service diversity can be met.
Volubill CONTROL-IT Policy Manager is a real-time system that can manage the network at the subscriber level. It correlates and processes information from network points that directly interact with subscriber, traffic or application activity, including Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Service Delivery Platforms (AF/IMS) and Network Access/Enforcement (PCEF) points, to deliver policy and charging control (PCC) rules and decisions that must be enforced by these network elements.
